Code of Conduct

Effective July 1, 2026. Applies to players, parents, coaches, and volunteers.

Players

  • Treat teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials with respect at all times
  • Arrive on time and prepared for every session
  • Accept coaching and feedback with an open mind
  • Never use abusive language, gestures, or physical violence
  • Play with integrity - no cheating, diving, or deliberate time-wasting
  • Represent ZYON with pride on and off the field

Parents and Guardians

  • Cheer positively - never negatively - from the sideline
  • Never instruct your child or other players during sessions - that is the coach's role
  • Never criticize coaches, referees, or any player verbally or online
  • Model the values you want your child to develop
  • Raise concerns privately and respectfully with ZYON staff
  • Arrive and pick up on time

Coaches and Volunteers

  • Always put player safety and well-being first
  • Never use demeaning, sarcastic, or abusive language with players
  • Follow all ZYON child safety protocols without exception
  • Be consistent, fair, and impartial
  • Maintain professional boundaries with players and families at all times

Consequences

Violations of this code of conduct may result in verbal warning, written warning, temporary suspension from ZYON activities, permanent removal from the program, or reporting to law enforcement if warranted. ZYON reserves the right to remove any individual from our programs for conduct that violates these standards. Billing or refund questions are handled under the applicable ZYD payment policy.
